"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change".
- Carl Rogers
Hi, I'm Deborah. Drawing on almost 25 years of experience in teaching in secondary education and pastoral care, I offer a warm, person-centered counselling space in Leyland for adults and young people. As an Individual Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I support clients through a wide range of life experiences - from anxiety and neurodivergence to identity, chronic illness and life transitions.
Every journey is different.
There is no single path to emotional well-being, and what you are experiencing is entirely personal to you. Whether you are facing a specific crisis or just feel that something isn't quite right, counselling offers a supportive, confidential space tailored to your individual needs.
Life brings moments where we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or out of balance. I can help you navigate a wide range of life challenges and mental health concerns, including:
Complex or Chronic Ill Health
Anxiety and panic
Depression and low mood
Stress and feeling overwhelmed
Bereavement and grief
Trauma informed support
Low self-esteem and self-doubt
Relationship difficulties
Child or family related issues
Major life changes and transitions
